Wales Maths Week

HSA Autumn Fete

Once again we have been taking part in Wales Maths Week.  Parents were invited into the school to take part in Maths activites, and to see how children use maths at Cwm Glas.  The focus this year was 'round and round', with classes using this as a theme across the school.

Our HSA has organised an Autumn Fete for the 16th October at 3.00pm.  Plenty of fun and games, stalls and treats for both children and parents alike.

The new school calendar will also be available to view and order.

Road Safety Week

Your chance to see how your children are progressing at Cwm Glas

Parents' Evenings have been arranged for the 21st and 22nd October this year.  Appointments will be arranged soon, please keep to your appointment time, as we are working to a very tight schedule.

D&T Week begins the first week after half term.  The children will have the opportunity to take part in computerised and practical design projects througout the course of the week.

This year we will be taking part in Road Safety Week, which runs from the 10 - 16 November.  There will be a number of activities and we will be welcoming a theatre company to our school, who we hope will be able to convey this vitally important message to our children

Full Year Attendance

Merit Prize Winner

All these children received a certificate for full attendance throughout the Summer Term 2008.

Well Done!

Nine children achieved full attendance throughout the whole school year 2007 - 2008.  They were presented with a certificate and a £10 gift voucher.

Well Done!

Merit points are awarded to children throughout the term for achievements at school, then at the end of term every child has the opportunity to win prizes.  One child wins the main prize, and our Summer term winner was extremely happy with his haul.

Well Done!

Our children often use a programme in school called 'Mouse Studio', and as we often have parents asking about the software their children use in school, we thought this link may be useful.  The website is by the same company that produce Mouse Studio, but offers children the opportunity to join the Mouse Club and take part in activities such as games and drawing.  There is also an online shop where you can purchase the programmes including Mouse Studio - currently £19.99
