Hello! A late welcome back to a new school year. We have already been busy, and a lot more to come in the next few weeks. We kick off with Parent's Evenings on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st October, so that you can find out how well your little darlings have settled into their new class. |

We kick of the school year with the first of our activity weeks 'Wales Maths Week'.
All pupils will be enjoying a week of maths tasks and activities and parents will be invited to visit and take part also. |
D & T Week will start on Monday 2nd November 2009. All classes will be taking part in a special week of designing and creating. |
Something that is very close to our hearts here at Cwm Glas is Anti Bullying Week. We strive on keeping this sort of behaviour to a minimum and are proud of our achievements in this area. |
This year we will once again be taking part in Road Safety Week. There will be a week of road safety related activities for the children to take part in, classes 8, 9 and 10 will have the opportunity to pass their Cycling Proficiency Test. |

THANK YOU! |
TESCO |
|

|
|
|
Just a note to say thank you all for the tremendous support you have given the HSA in our new venture of 'St David's Day' photographs. It was a bit hectic for the first time of organising, and I hope some of you were not kept waiting for too long. Anyway, the photos turned out beautifully and I hope you were as pleased with yours, as I was of my grandchildren.
Mrs Davies (Secretary) |
Last year you helped us to collect over 32,000 vouchers for ICT equipment, and we thank you so much for your support. This year Tesco have changed their vouchers slightly and now we can collect for all sorts of other school resources and equipment from sports, creativity and ICT. We would be grateful if you could once again collect vouchers for us. Don't forget to ask your family and friends to collect for us also. Thank you so much and we look forward to another bumper collection to help boost our resources. |

What is podcasting?

Our children often use a programme in school called 'Mouse Studio', and as we often have parents asking about the software their children use in school, we thought this link may be useful. The website is by the same company that produce Mouse Studio, but offers children the opportunity to join the Mouse Club and take part in activities such as games and drawing. There is also an online shop where you can purchase the programmes including Mouse Studio - currently £19.99 |
