Once again we took part in National School Gounds Week. This year was especially exciting due to the addition of our new outdoor learning areas and assault courses.

This year's summer concert is on Tuesday 8th July. The theme is music through the decades, including Abba, Queen and The Beach Boys. The show has been video recorded and can be ordered for delivery in September for only £6.00. Order forms available from school office.

Dorothy George Award 2008 |
|
|
|
This year's winners of the Dorothy George Award are pictured after the presentation outside our school. The award is presented annually to two year 2 pupils by Mr George, in rememberance of his wife Dorothy who was a valued friend to the school. Well done to both children who truly deserve the award for outstanding achievement. |

 Global Citizenship
This term we will be celebrating Global Citizenship week. Each class will be using a country to base their lessons around, so that they learn about the country they have chosen.

Our Caretaker Retires |
|
|
|
Mr Durbin our caretaker retired this week, after many years service to the school. All the staff and pupils thanked him for his years of service with a special assembly and a song written especially for him. He was presented with gifts as well as flowers for his wife. Mr Durbin and his wife are pictured with our Head teacher Mr Osborne, and our Head Boy and Girl, after a reception held in his honour. |

Our children often use a programme in school called 'Mouse Studio', and as we often have parents asking about the software their children use in school, we thought this link may be useful. The website is by the same company that produce Mouse Studio, but offers children the opportunity to join the Mouse Club and take part in activities such as games and drawing. There is also an online shop where you can purchase the programmes including Mouse Studio - currently £19.99 |

This is the latest count on the vouchers you have sent in to us this year. A new record by nearly 8,000 vouchers. Lots of equipment has been ordered, amongst them digital postcards and metal detectors which we hope will benefit all the children in school.
